BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR LITHUANIA / GIMTADIENIO DOVANA LIETUVAI

During the celebration of an extraordinary birthday, Lithuania was showered with extraordinary gifts: baked, sewn, weaved, felted, folded, glued, carved, painted, appliqued, composed of stones, corks, straws, twigs, pieces of paper and even suns made of real life persons!

Commission of professionals had to select eleven suns which would then go on to the final phase of the eTwinning project “May the sun of this land scatter all the gloom and dark…”:  publishing of the calendar for the year 2019. The twelfth sun was chosen by the users on the social network Facebook. The intrigue was kept till the last minute. Majority of the attention and votes were given to the work No. 9 “We are children of Lithuania” of Klaipeda kindergarten “Versme”.

Even though, all 44 works were incredibly beautiful, original and made with love, nevertheless, a competition is a competition – there must be winners, as well as losers. Therefore, the commission decided that the following works will be published within the calendar for the year 2019:

These are not the only gifts for Lithuania. The participants of the eTwinning project wished our country the longest years by singing the National anthem. Foreign partners from Ireland and two Ukrainian schools did not dare to perform the Lithuanian anthem in Lithuanian language, so they chose the English text, but the teacher Marianna Klymchuk and her students from the Dolishniy Shepit Educational Complex (Ukraine) had enough courage to take on our challenge and prepared a video reportage in which young Ukrainians congratulated our country in the Lithuanian language. We have to confess, watching their video made shivers go down our spines and even put tears in our eyes. We are very thankful for them and for everyone who participated in our birthday and we would like to say: “WE WISH YOU THE LONGEST YEARS, OUR DEAR LITHUANIA!”

Švenčianti neeilinį gimtadienį Lietuva buvo apipilta neeilinėmis dovanomis: keptomis, siūtomis, nertomis, veltomis, lankstytomis, lipdytomis, drožinėtomis, pintomis, pieštomis, klijuotomis, aplikuotomis, sudėliotomis iš akmenukų, kamštelių, šiaudelių, šakelių, popieriaus gabalėlių ir net gyvų žmonių saulėmis!

Vertinimo komisijai reikėjo išrinkti vienuolika saulių, kurios pateks į baigiamąjį tarptautinio eTwinning projekto „Tegul saulė Lietuvoj tamsumas prašalina…“ darbą – 2019 metų kalendorių. Dvyliktąją saulutę išrinko socialinio tinklapio Facebook lankytojai, kurie iki paskutinės minutės išlaikė intrigą. Daugiausiai dėmesio sulaukė Klaipėdos lopšelio-darželio „Versmė“ darbas Nr. 9 „Mes – Lietuvos vaikai“ .

Nors visi 44 darbai buvo be galo gražūs, originalūs ir pagaminti su meile, tačiau konkursas lieka konkursu – jame turi būti nugalėtojai ir pralaimėjusieji. Todėl vertinimo komisija, kurią sudarė Klaipėdos Litorinos mokyklos direktorė Edita Andrijauskienė, tos pačios mokyklos dailės ir technologijų mokytoja metodininkė Jolita Stumbrienė ir Klaipėdos Adomo Brako dailės mokyklos dailės mokytoja ekspertė Loreta Poškienė, nusprendė, kad 2019 metų kalendorių papuoš darbai iš:

Tai ne vienintelės dovanos švenčiančiai Lietuvai. eTwinning projekto dalyviai ilgiausių metų mūsų šaliai palinkėjo sugiedodami Tautišką giesmę. Užsienio partneriai iš Airijos ir dviejų Ukrainos mokyklų nesiryžo atlikti Lietuvos himno lietuviškai, todėl pasirinko anglišką tekstą, tačiau mokytoja Marianna Klymchuk ir jos mokiniai iš Dolishniy Shepit Edukacinio Komplekso (Ukraina) iššūkio nepabijojo ir padovanojo šiurpuliukus keliantį ir ašarą spaudžiantį vaizdo reportažą, kuriame jaunieji ukrainiečiai sveikino mūsų šalį lietuvių kalba. Dėkojame jiems, dėkojame visiems, dalyvavusiems mūsų gimtadienyje, ir sakome: „ILGIAUSIŲ METŲ, BRANGI LIETUVA!“

THE CHORDS OF NATIONAL ANTHEM WILL RESONATE THROUGHOUT THE EUROPEAN SCHOOLS / TAUTIŠKOS GIESMĖS AKORDAI SKAMBĖS IR EUROPOS MOKYKLOSE

     While our friends are still working on the final task of the project “May the sun of this land scatter all the gloom and dark…”, the Lithuanian team has prepared an original gift for the birthday of their country. It’s an interpretation of the National anthem. This version is special because the verses of the anthem includes our dreams and best wishes towards our country. We would like to invite you to evaluate our work.

     The mentioned version of the Lithuanian anthem is dedicated towards the mission #THE FREEDOM JOURNEY held in the Centre for civil education during which, together with the help of the history teacher – one of the participants of the eTwinning project Kristina Rimeikienė – we helped our students to overcome 12 challenges over the year!

     I would like to reveal you a small secret! I’ve seen the rehearsal of the students and their teacher Marianna from Dolishniy Shepit Educational Complex (Ukraine). I’m proud to announce that the young Ukrainians will sing the Lithuania’s anthem in the Lithuanian language!

     Kol mūsų draugai ruošia paskutinę projekto „Tegul saulė Lietuvoj tamsumas prašalina…“ užduotį, Lietuvos komanda savo šalies gimtadieniui paruošė originalią dovaną – Tautiškos giesmės interpretaciją, į kurią sudėjo savo svajones ir linkėjimus gimtai šaliai. Kviečiame įvertinti mūsų kūrybą.

     Lietuviškas giesmės variantas yra skirtas Valstybės pažinimo centre vykusiai misijai #laisvės kelionė, kurios metu kartu su istorijos mokytoja, etwinning projekto dalyve, Kristina Rimkiene padėjome savo mokiniams per metus įveikti net 12 iššūkių!  

     Tuo pačiu išduosiu ir mažą paslaptį – mačiau Dolishniy Shepit (Ukraina) edukacinio komplekso mokinių ir jų mokytojos Mariannos repeticiją. Jaunieji ukrainiečiai Lietuvos himną atliks lietuvių kalba!

UNITED UNDER THE SUN / SAULĖS SUVIENYTI

     The international contest “May the sun of this land scatter all the gloom and dark…“ has united together the children of Lithuania and foreign countries, their parents and teachers. By posting regulations of the competition and proposing different options on how to make the sun, we did not expect that participants will be so enthusiastic in the agreement with our recommendations.

     Following the receipt and acceptance of the invitations to participate in Lithuania’s birthday party, the guests made a total of 44 different suns. The said suns not only brightened up the lobby of the Klaipeda Litorina School, but the faces of its community as well. During the month of January, the suns arrived from various Klaipeda, Jurbarkas and Smalininkai educational institutions. Three schools from Ukraine, one school from Ireland and one from Romania have also responded to the birthday invitations. Therefore we had been sent presents from abroad that took a little longer to arrive.

     We believe that the sun production process has infected their authors, because most of the participants presented not one, not two but even more exhibits! The most encouraging news, in particular, is the fact that many of the exhibits were created at home with the help of mothers and fathers. Constantly hearing that the digital generation is only interested in smart technologies, we have also with ovations accepted the works of older students, which fascinated us by the performing techniques, maturity and love to our country.  The commission of professionals will have to select eleven works which will continue to the final phase of the eTwinning project “May the sun of this land scatter all the gloom and dark…“:  publishing of the calendar for the year 2019. Meanwhile, the twelfth and final work will be selected by the project partners and friends on the social network Facebook.

     After our guest from abroad catch their breath after the intense creative process, they will be invited to sing the National anthem. Two versions of the anthem were sent to them – one in Lithuanian and one in English language. We are eager to find out which language the children from Ukraine, Ireland and Romania will choose to sing the National anthem in and honor our country. According to the project regulations, they will have to share the moments of the singing process with the friends who impatiently await for the birthday of their country.

     Tarptautinis konkursas „Tegul saulė Lietuvoj tamsumas prašalina…“ suvienijo Lietuvos ir užsienio vaikus, jų tėvelius ir pedagogus. Skelbdami konkurso nuostatus ir siūlydami saulės gaminimo variantus, nesitikėjome, kad jo dalyviai taip entuziastingai sutiks su mūsų rekomendacijomis.  

     Priėmę konkurso organizatorių kvietimą dalyvauti Lietuvos nepriklausomybės jubiliejuje, svečiai jubiliatei pagamino 44 dideles ir mažas saules, nušvietusias ne tik Klaipėdos Litorinos mokyklos fojė, bet ir jos bendruomenės veidus. Saulytės visą sausio mėnesį keliavo iš įvairių Klaipėdos, Smalininkų ir Jurbarko ugdymo įstaigų. Šiek tiek ilgiau užtruko dovanos iš užsienio, mat į gimtadienio kvietimą atsiliepė trys mokyklos iš Ukrainos, po vieną iš Airijos ir Rumunijos.

     Manome, kad saulučių gaminimas užkrėtė jų autorius, nes dauguma konkurso dalyvių pristatė ne po vieną ir net ne po du eksponatus! Ypač džiugina žinia, kad daugelis eksponatų buvo kuriami namuose kartu su mamomis ir tėčiais. Nuolat girdėdami, kad skaitmeninė karta domisi tik išmaniosiomis technologijomis, ovacijomis sutikome ir vyresniųjų klasių mokinių darbus, sužavėjusius atlikimo technikomis, brandumu ir atvira meile savo šaliai. Užjaučiame vertinimo komisiją, kuriai iš visų darbų reikės išrinkti 11 geriausių, pateksiančių į  eTwinning projekto „Tegul saulė Lietuvoj tamsumas prašalina…“ galutinį rezultatą – 2019 metų kalendorių. Dvyliktąjį darbą išrinks projekto partneriai ir draugai socialiniame tinkle Facebook.

     Atsikvėpę po kūrybinių darbų, Lietuvos gimtadienio svečiai iš užsienio bus pakviesti sugiedoti Tautiškos giesmės. Jiems yra išsiųsti du giesmės teksto variantai – lietuviškas ir angliškas. Nekantraujame sužinoti, kokia kalba pagerbs mūsų šalį Airijos, Rumunijos ir Ukrainos vaikai, pagal projekto nuostatus turėsiantys filmuotomis himno giedojimo akimirkomis pasidalinti su nekantriai savo šalies šventės laukiančiais draugais.

VIRTUAL EXHIBITION

Good news! The exhibition “May the sun of this land scatter all the gloom and dark…” is already open in Klaipeda Litorina School. The exhibition was hosted by the mayor of Klaipeda Vytautas Grubliauskas, the president of the Order of Malta Relief Organization in Lithuania Romas Abunevičius and the school principal Edita Andrijauskienė.

“MAY THE SUN OF THIS LAND SCATTER ALL THE GLOOM AND DARK…” / „TEGUL SAULĖ LIETUVOJ TAMSUMAS PRAŠALINA…“

    The project “MAY THE SUN OF THIS LAND SCATTER ALL THE GLOOM AND DARK…” is gaining more momentum every day.  What is actually going on inside the workshops of the project, what are the daily activities of everyone wanting to become the guests of the 100th anniversary of the Independence of Lithuania?

      The constant rain and rare glimpses of sunshine had nothing to do with the origin of the Project name that started at the end of 2017 and will end at the beginning of 2018.

     We borrowed the name for our project from the National Anthem which flutters our hearts and invited all those wishing to join the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Independence of Lithuania.

     While looking for our project partners and competition participants, we appealed to you just like that: “We are looking for birthday guests”. Knowing that everyone would want to give something as a gift, we asked the guests to bring us the sun. We explicitly stated that drawings and pictures and pictures are not accepted due to the fact they can be easily be found on the internet. Throughout the month of December, members of the international eTwinning project and participants of the competition from various Lithuanian educational institutions produced suns… a lot of suns. The first works reached us just before Christmas. The suns have to be presented to us until January 15th, therefore, it is of no surprise that following the start of the New Year, the doors of Klaipeda Litorina School have been constantly opened by the postman and people from Klaipeda – representatives of various educational institutions who present us their exhibits. Therefore, on the grey, rainy and gloomy days, our school is getting brighter and warmer.

     This warmth is also accompanied by inspirational letters in which the partners of the eTwinning project share updates regarding notifications on their sent works. The right hand of my project – Vida Petraitienė, the teacher of the Jurbarkas school “Ąžuoliukas“, shared a picture of seven suns which was sent to Klaipeda on January 4th.

     Friends from Ireland sent their sun before the holidays. Because they tried to comment on each of their activities… in Lithuanian language! We are especially eager to receive their work. Judging by their pictures, the Lithuanian words will be on the sun that they produced themselves.

We were touched by the Ukrainians – students of the Kalush Gymnasium and their teacher Vitalij Pivtorak, they shared a reportage on social networks on the sun sent to us and the fact that in February they will join the singing of the National Anthem and that they are very pleased and thankful for the chance to participate in the birthday of Lithuania!

     Not only will the sun scatter all the gloom and dark. But because kindergartens as well as the pupils and representatives of professional studies joined the Lithuanian birthday party, the sincere friendship between the people of different ages and from different nations will also scatter the gloom and dark.

Projektas „TEGUL SAULĖ LIETUVOJ TAMSUMAS PRAŠALINA…“ įgauna vis didesnį pagreitį. Kas gi vyksta projekto dirbtuvėse, kuo gyvena visi, panorę tapti Lietuvos nepriklausomybės šimtmečio šventės svečiais?

     Šitoks 2017 metų pabaigos–2018 metų pradžios projekto pavadinimas atsirado ne dėl to, kad Lietuvoje pastaruoju metu nuolat lyja ir vis rečiau pasirodo saulė. Projektui pavadinimą pasiskolinome iš mūsų visų širdis virpinančios Tautiškos giesmės ir pakvietėme visus norinčius prisijungti prie mūsų šalies nepriklausomybės šimtmečio paminėjimo.

     Ieškodami projekto partnerių ir konkurso dalyvių, taip ir kreipėmės: „Ieškome gimtadienio svečių“. Žinodami, kad visi norės jubiliatui kažką padovanoti, svečių paprašėme atnešti mums po saulę. Tik perspėjome, kad piešinių ir nuotraukų nenorime, nes jų – pilnas internetas.

     Visą gruodį tarptautinio eTwinning projekto nariai ir į konkursą atsiliepę dalyviai iš įvairių Lietuvos ugdymo įstaigų gamino saules, saulutes, saulytes… Pirmieji darbeliai mus pasiekė prieš Kalėdas. Kadangi saulių pristatymo laikas baigiasi sausio 15 dieną, nekeista, kad nuo Naujųjų metų Klaipėdos Litorinos mokyklos duris nuolat varstė siuntas pristatantys pašto darbuotojai ir eksponatus nešantys klaipėdiečiai – įvairių ugdymo įstaigų atstovai. Tad pilkomis, lietingomis ir niūriomis dienomis mūsų mokykloje darosi vis šviesiau ir šilčiau.

     Šilumos prideda ir įkvepiantys laiškai, kuriuose eTwinning projekto partneriai dalijasi pranešimais apie paštui perduotus darbelius. Štai mano projekto dešinioji ranka, Jurbarko mokyklos „Ąžuoliukas“ auklėtoja Vida Petraitienė pasidalino net septynių saulučių, išsiųstų į Klaipėdą sausio 4 dieną, nuotrauka. Draugai iš Airijos saulę išsiuntė prieš didžiąsias šventes. Nekantraujame sulaukti jų darbelio, kadangi airiai kiekvieną savo veiklą stengėsi pakomentuoti… lietuvių kalba! Sprendžiant iš nuotraukų, lietuviškų žodžių bus ir ant jų pagamintos saulės. Sujaudino ukrainiečiai – Kalush gimnazijos mokiniai ir jų mokytojas Vitalij Pivtorak, pasidalinę socialiniuose tinkluose reportažu apie mums siunčiamą saulytę, apie tai, kad vasario mėnesį jie prisijungs prie Tautiškos giesmės giedojimo ir apie tai, kad jiems labai gera dalyvauti Lietuvos gimtadienyje!

     Ne tik saulė tamsumas prašalins. Jas nugins ir projekto metu užsimezgusi nuoširdi draugystė su įvairių tautų ir dar įvairesnio amžiaus žmonėmis, kadangi prie Lietuvos gimtadienio šventės prisijungė ir darželinukai, ir mokiniai, ir profesinių studijų atstovai.
